RV Living and Why

When we say we live full-time in our RV we get some seriously funny looks. We are honestly used to it. We understand that some people legitimately can't understand it. I want to share a few things we absolutely love about being in our RV that might change your perspective or at least help you see our perspective.

1.) Simplicity, you know that garage or junk drawer that you walk by every day that you will "eventually" clean out? We don't have that. Everything has a place, if it doesn't have a place we probably don't use it and therefore it leaves. We don't have the clutter that most home owners don't even realize is there.

2.) Everything we bring home has a purpose or brings us joy. You can go to Hobby Lobby or Target and fill a cart with stuff that you will put "somewhere". We don't exactly have "somewhere". Everything that comes in must have a specific location and a purpose. RV people do have art, we have tables, accents, counters, cabinets, and all the things most people have just on a smaller scale. Every piece of art has a specific location where it belongs, I picked it for that exact spot. It brings me joy, it doesn't just fill a blank wall.

3.) You know that day of the week were you spend the entire day cleaning the house? We don't have that either! I can deep clean and scrub my entire house in about an hour. I don't have to hire a housekeeper or spend an entire day cleaning. It is easier for my kids to do chores because they are small and simple.

4.) When you live in a small space it forces you to do things together. Game nights, pizza nights, family activities, these happen on a regular occurrence for us. Being tiny also pushes you outside more, we go for family walks, my kids do this crazy thing called "play outside" like every day!! And for like HOURS!

5.) Last but not least, did I mention simplicity? Every single thing in my home has a purpose. Even if that purpose is to bring me happiness. Wanna Marie Kondo your house? Move into an RV! Seriously! Everything has a purpose and gets used. If it doesn't get used, it goes!
